Cartridge filter replacement?

I don't know if I should post this in here, but I'm in day 46 of cyckling my tank and I'm wondering when should I change my filter or clean it. My ammonia and nitrite is @ 0 and nitrate are @ 10-20ppm. I have the Eclipse 3 filtration system. Can someone help? Thank you.

Unless it is clogged,or dirty enough to slow the flow rate,I wouldn't clean it at all.But if you do,just rinse it out with SALTWATER,then put it back in...Unless you have a good amount of live rock,most of your bacteria is living in that filter pad. replacing it may cause an imbalance in the bio system of your YOUNG tank.(recycle)
