we just bought a penn-plax cascade 1500 for our 100 gallon any thoughts on this before we put it on the lfs pet palace seem to thing it was better then the mag 350 need some input

I've never seen a Penn-plax cascade 1500 in use. However it is a bit different than a Magnum 350.
-A magnum 350 is more or less just for heavy carbon filtration or Micron water polishing, both giving you crystal clear water. It is not meant to be your primary biological filter.
-The Penn-plax is meant to be an "all in one" type filter. Similar to a Fluval, but doesn't appear to have as many options for filtering material as a Fluval.

we also run a wet dry and berlin skimmer and uv. on the tank we got the cascade to replace the mag.350 but thanks for your input my husband likes to try new toys for filtration always looking for was to keep the water in good shape along with regular water changes.
