cat shark dead or alive

ok i have had sharks before a horn shark , leopard sharks,a nurse shark ,and a cat shark . now shark egg never so i got one for my 4 yr old son. today i go to look at it and it is not moving or breathing. so i go and touch the egg move it around nothing. he is dead but wait i look again and he is breathing and moving around is this normal.

first off how big is the shark inside? does it have its stripes yet? and how long have you had it? ive hatched a few and never had any start eating so i just gave up on them. ive had better luck with about any other shark and i even collect them myself so i know its not something im doing. my guess is that their natural instinct is useing their electrorecptors to pinpoint food and since i use frozen they wont eat it. they respond to the smell but seem to not find the food.

Generally there likely won't be alot of activity in the egg until the last couple of weeks before hatching.
Also - hatching sharks from eggs successfully is a tricky business - about half of all newly hatched sharks - don't make it past the 1st month.

the shark has strips already and when we got him he is very active moves around alot. the sharks is about 4 inches maybe a little more but it,s very active in the egg
