I have had my Cat Shark for three months and he will only eat live shrimp. What should I do to convert him? I have tried Shark food, krill. Any help?

Try raw squid or shrimp from the grocery store. Let the shark fast for 3 days then offer these foods. Use some type of tongs to get the food to the shark. Wave the food by its head but don't bump it otherwise it will refuse it. HTH.
P.S.
What type of catshark do you have? My favorite is the coral cat but unfortunately the only type that comes around locally (rarely though) is the marbled.

I have a banded cat 7". What is his growth rate? What is the max # of days without feeding. I want to have a tank at work and do not want to go up there on weekends.

LFS said it was a catshark huh?
Banded bamboo shark. For some reason stores call these things catsharks when they are not true catsharks. Pet peeve of mine. Anyway, it will get to be between 15 and 18 inches when it is a year old. After about 6 months you'll notice the dark black and bright white bands will change to dark brown with tan stripes. Going 3 days is not a lot. Feed it daily and look out. You'll have a monster on your hands before you know it. Did you hatch this one or get the pup? Are you planning on putting this in your tank at work? You must have a lot of space. These things get about 40 inches as adults and you're going to need a 300 gallon tank eventually.
