what is wrong with fine crushed coral vs. sand for sharks?

Crushed coral is just that - crushed coral. It's still a pretty coarse substrate. The belly of a shark is very vulnerable and even fine crushed coral could scratch it. If you were to hold a handful of the cc and a handful of the ls, you would see the difference. Go with ls. Bo

Even some of the coarser sands can cause problems on the stomach of sharks, I'd get a very fine sand for your substrate.
