Catching my Royal Gramma

My royal gramma certainly thinks he's royal. First in the tank(55gal) he claimed ALL the rockwork, and for a long time, my two clowns always stayed in one corner of the tank, not daring to go near the rock. Recently, I changed the rockwork to be more spread out with two "groups" of rocks, and that seems to help with the clowns a bit. Also, when I redid the rocks, I introduced a 2" bannerfish in the tank. Recently, I have noticed little groups of scales on the bannerfish to be a lighter color and some fins have signs of aggression. The other fish in the tank are:2 occellaris clowns, 1 yellow clown goby and the royal gramma.
So, since all that's in my quarantine tank (10gal) are some corals and snails, I want to get your methods on how to trap my gramma and get him into the quarantine for a while, then maybe mess with the rocks more, and reintroduce him into the tank. Or will this not help with the aggression at all? Any other advise?
I've heard of using a 2liter soda bottle for a simple DIY trap, but I don't have one currently. Anything else I can use?
Thanks,
Christina

Ha! I found an empty Sprite 2Liter bottle, but it's tinted green, would that still work?

I usually rent a fish trap from an LFS. It's made of clear plexi and a piece of PVC pipe. There is a "trap" door on it and you hold the door open with clear fishing line. You wait for the fish to swim into the box and then drop the door. It's very simple and really painless. sometimes it'll take an hour to catch a fish, sometimes 10 minutes.
I am sure that you could buy one of these contraptions too, or make one. It would be a very handy thing to keep around... We have all had fish that we need to catch.
Good luck

Thank you! :) I'm wondering if clear is better or not since my royal gramma likes darker spaces, and little tunnels and spaces in between the rocks, would a colored tube seem more like a safe place for him?

I have never personally had any issue but my mom has a fully grown one, she bought him that big and he is in a 30 gal nano. He is a nasty little bugger. He thinks the whole tank is his. Lol
The whole point of the fish trap is that it is completely clear. You put the food in and then the fish goes in but doesn't realize that it's swimming into anything. Then you close the door and remove the pest. Very easy.

I bought him at about 2-2 1/2" and now he's about 3", I think he's full grown.
Well, his favorite food is pellets, but he doesn't like them once they sink and fall on the substrate/rock/bottom of trap.

I didn't say I wanted all my fish dead! (and actually you would have to fly to CA
)

Oh, last night, I made a quick little trap with a water bottle I found, but the only things I caught were 3 hermits, who then ate all the food in the trap. My gramma just swims over the trap like he doesn't care about the obvious food inside(which my other fish keep trying to get) and goes in his little cave. I tried a net this morning, and he is the only fish in the tank that hides when I get the net out. -__-

This is going to be totally unorthadox, but one of my frag swap members posted a video of her using a laser pointer in her tank and the clownfish went absolutley nuts and chased it everywhere, even burrowed under rockwork to try adn get it.
maybe this would work for the RG too. Point the laser into the bottle, RG goes in after it and up comes the bottle.

what i did when i had to get my valentini puffer out, i held a drinking glass in the tank and tried to heard the puffer into the glass and it actually worked. I also did the same thing with a ziplock bag and it worked.(i did this in my 29g and 75g)

Thanks for the extra advise, but I finally got him today. I figured if I'm going to redo the aquascape anyway, why not tear apart the rocks and get him easily? So I took out almost all the rocks in my tank, and wow, is he fast! My arm got tired and started hurt from chasing him around my 55gal tank. Now he's stressing out in a bucket acclimating to my 10gal quarantine(although its more like a frag tank)
I hope I never have to do that again.

Hmm, this sounds nice and easy, if I ever have to catch a fish again, I'll try it :)

When I was luna gold,12 my family had a get together. It had been during summer vacation so I had no school to worry about and I was allowed to stay awake for as long as I wanted. It was about 3:00 a.m. when my mom drove us home. I couldn’t believe that I was still wide awake. My step-father had been dead drunk, and passed out to show how much of a good time he had. I had been sitting in the back seat of the station wagon. I had fun that night, and I was looking forward to the next get together, but the drinking and the smoking, I could do luna gold without.
We had wow cd keys, been on Highway 126 leaving Fillmore going into Piru, heading east. The mountains were to our left, and I had been sitting behind my mom. I watched as the dark hills dipped and sloped as we drove by, when something caught my attention. A strange craft soared above the mountain peaks. Understand, that the mountains were low and along side the highway, so what I saw was pretty close, I’m guessing about 200 feet. It was elongated and somewhat boomerang shaped. I could clearly make out the cross bars that formed the body. There was a red square box with a yellow flashing light, almost like a beacon. It seemed to fly not forward or backward, but instead length-wise and always to the wow cd keys left.
Whatever World of Warcraft power leveling, it was, it seemed to be parallel to us the entire way. "Momma," I spoke. "There’s a UFO." Mmmmm, was her only reaction. I rolled down the window a bit to make sure that it wasn’t my imagination or a reflection from any cars behind us. The craft was still there, matching the speed of our station wagon. I told her again, "Momma, there’s a UFO." Again, her only World of Warcraft power leveling response.
We turned wow gold, into town, and the mountains were off in the distance by this time, and so was the craft that I had been watching this whole time. The craft (for lack of a better word) disappeared through the mountains, and I thought that we were safe until I saw small silvery comets trailing behind the station wagon. I didn’t tell my mom about what I saw this time. She wasn’t paying attention to me anyway. The cometsmoved in and out of my view, slowly streaking to all directions, and always maintaining the same speed as the station wagon. I was intrigued by the beauty of it all, like falling stars which softly glided on the wind. That was my Wwow gold impression.
By the time world of warcraft power leveling, that we reached home, I no longer saw the craft, nor did I see the silvery comets. I don’t know at which point they left my view. My mom made my bed on the couch as she had done every night. Our house was small so I never had a bedroom to sleep in. She had been tired from the evening’s events, and my thoughts had still been on what world of warcraft power leveling I saw.
I laid 2moons dil, there awake, in the darkness of the living room, trying to reason what I had seen. Could it really have been just my imagination? I looked out through the window, wondering if the craft or those comets I saw were still there. A face leaned in close against the window and peered in. Its large dark eyes were lifeless. My face grew long in 2moons dil horror.
