what type of lighting and additives are required to keep caulerpa? i have setup a 5g refugium. it is only 9" high and 9.5" wide. what kind of lighting would u recommend? ive see everything from NO floresent, 2x25w incandesent, to power compact and double NO or HO bulbs.is there a good way to light my refugium without spending big $ on compact or VHO? and what about home depot lighting? and what other additives are needed to keep caulerpa(if any)?
thanks for your help

I've got a 30 gal refugium and I use 2x40 no in a home depot shop fixture....caulpera is going great..........I keep my lights on 24/7.....so far I've got 5 different types of caulpera growing and it all is growing quick.....also the nitrates are zero.........also has the added benefit of a lil trimmings for my yellow tang now and then

You do not need special light for caulerpa, of course the more the better it will grow. It is up to you to decide how much you want to spend and how fast you want it to grow. The nutrient in your tank will help it grow.
