CBS behavior?

Ok, i just read where someone said that the CBS might kill the Camel Back Shrimp, is this true? what about Peppermint Shrimp? we have all three in our tank. SWF didn't say anything.
Also is it normal for the CBS to be on the defence? he has not closed his main claws since he was added to the tank. (it looks like his making the peace sign) My fish was swimming and brushed up on one of his long tenticals (or whatever) and he freaked out. A peppermint shrimp was cleaning the barnical and touch the CBS, the CBS freaked. is this normal? never had a CBS before so i don't know.
Thanks again

cbs's are aggressive shrimp and IMO, should be kept as the only shrimp, others have had success, but often it doesn't work out in the long run for anyone other than the cbs, he gets a couple of expensive shrimp dinners, now you may be one of the exeptions, but i never count on myself being that one in whatever, keep an eye on him, or replace him, one or the other, you'd be safest taht way(either one)

You are right. The CBS is enjoying a nice pepperment shrimp dinner as I write. Why did swf.com sell us those shrimp together? If we had known we would have gotten something eles. If the CBS hurt my fish....I'll pull it's little pincher off my self. As soon as I find a bag he's gone, guess we're driving 30min in the morning to find him a new home (umm...I know just the fish to feed him too).
thanks for the warning, I wish i'd had listened! I know now though

be glad, that it wasn't a cleaner or a blood shrimp, they are expensive, and don't even think of pulling his pichers off, it will grow back soon, as for swf.com, how do they know what you are doing?, many of us order for multiple tanks, and or have very large tanks, and so on, you can't blame them for you not knowing something, besides, being a mail order company, they may employ people who really don't know much about fish to answwer phones, i admit it is a hard lesson, but we as individuals are really responsible for checking the compatibility of our species before buying, ultimately it is our decission and they cannot stop us, plus the fact that if you buy one thing here and another there, how is anybody supposed to know what you can or can't use
i am sorry if this sounds like a lecture, and i do honestly appologize, but we are adopting these critters and it is our responsibility to take care of them(this includes theri room mates), in the future, don't be affraid to ask for advice in purchasing, we would be glad to help you, that is why alot of us come here, to help

I guess are lfs spoiled us. The guy always asked what we were going to do with what we bought, always asked what else was in the tank. I'm not mad at swf i'm mad at that little critter, but he sure looks better then the other shrimp, He's too cute to pull his pinchers off. and the inverts are my guy's thing, so the CBS stays and will enjoy about 6 more shrimp dinners... (as long as he doesn't hurt my fish...).
BTW what are the odds that he'd hurt one of my clowns? He still has not left the barnical, i guess that's his teritory now.
oh, and we didn't know about this site till after we ordered...that's how we found it.
