CBS molted take old shell out?

My CBS just molted. My cleaner shrimp did last week, but I took the old shell out. I can not reach the CBS skeleton without taking apart some of the LR, Can I just leave it in there. It is a FOWLR. 4 blue damsels, 1 koran angel, CBS, Cleaner shrimp.

My zebra legs hermit molted, i just left it in there. The scooter blenny picked at it a few times, and baout a week later it was disentegrated.

i always took mine out but i guess i will start leaving it in now.
