i was wondering if anyone had used CC in their sump like in the same chamber as the LR. I was wondering if like a 4in bed of CC would be good for bio filtration with the LR rubble on top. i mean theres no poo thats gonna be stuck under it so i was just wondering. you know majority CC with less LR in the sump to cut down on costs a little bit

I have a small pile of CC in my refugium, hoping to assist in pod repopulation. But I won't use anymore then just a small pile, esp., in just a generic sump, as a lot of crap, surprising, gets sucked down to the sump.
