Each skimmer is going to be different you just have to play with the water level to get the right consistancy of foam. If you set it to high you will get very wet foam and your skimmate will be clear. If you set it to low the foam will be dry and a majority of the skimmate will collect in the riser tube instead of in the collection cup.
