is a choclate chip star had to keep for a beginner? If it is what do u recommend? My tank has been up and running for about 2 1/2 months. all water conditions are great. :p

No they are pretty hardy. I've had two in mine since I finished the cycle and have had no probs with them. They each got part of a leg bit off by my sally lightfoot but are healing nicely. If you are planning a reef you might want to be careful since they say they aren't reef safe, but mine haven't touched my corals. In fact when they come up to the corals they lift their leg and completely avoid them. As far as feeding goes I only feed them a little chunk of shrimp once every 2 weeks and the rest of the time they eat whatever they find in the tank.

Thanks , that is very helpful to me. Do you buy just regular shrimp from the grocery store>>>??? in a can or frozen?? Will my scallop also eat this shrimp?

Thanks guys for your help in chooseing a cc star. I brought it home tonight and its so cool. I love watching it walk on the bottom, and I watched it climb on top of one of my sea shells. Really cool choice! :D
