CC's Tank Diary

I finally figured out how to take a picture of the tank without it being too blurry to see. The tripod is the trick. Here's my tank (29 gallon). It has been up since November. I have added live rock in small increments and have had just about every kind of hitchhiker imaginable (good and bad). The xenia on the left hand side was a hitchhiker (it was sucked back into a crevice and was a complete surprise!) I also had a mantis shrimp (still have it). He has his own tank now. I'm thinking of taking the grape caulerpa out. I'm getting tired of keeping it in check.

Also, if you want a suggestion, get a 55 gallon. If I had it to do over again I would have. My next take will probably be a 70 gallon.

I'm also considering a yellow watchman goby or a green clown goby. I only want to add one more small fish, so I have to decide between the three.....or get another tank

Well, I decided on a green clown goby and added it to the tank yesterday. I think I made a good choice. I was worried that it may never get any food being in the same tank with some greedy eaters, but it has already snagged some brine. I'll post some pictures this week sometime.
I've also decided on a project for this weekend. It all started, with my need for a better skimmer. I decided on a Tunze DOC 9002, but it will not fit between my light fixture and edge of the tank (it submerses in your tank). So I'm going to connect my mantis tank with my DT; and submerse the new skimmer in the mantis tank. Here goes nothing (I'm not really a DIY'er).

Here's an updated full-tank-shot of my 29 gallon after a frag swap last weekend. I also have a 90 gallon cycling (with a shipment of additional fiji live rock on the way from SWF.com).
