Center brace broke! hELP!

Just noticed center brace on my 55 is broke and tank is bowed out 3/4-1". What are my options? If I can get a new one thru LFS how to go about repacing it? Thanks, Jeff

3/4"-1" ???!!! WOW!! The brace is only has silicone adhered to it. Closing that gap will definitely be a task needless to say.

i would get somthing to help close the gap immediatly!! possibly a clamp of somesort...the last thing you want is a wave of water all over your floor...

You need a new tank ASAP.
Was the tank level?

I think I would be lowering the water level ASAP. Find a temp home for the critters and fix or replace the tank. I can also bet it will break at a bad time otherwise. Like not at home and everything on the floor dead when you return. By the way, what brand of tank?

It' a perfecto , about 6 years old. Got water lowered and a clamp on it. LFS had a new piece I'm going to change it Friday while I'm off.
