cerith snails

picked up 1/2 dozen of these guys today, i have one of my glass tops open about 1" and of course one of them came up the glass and is no sitting on the black plastic glass lid frame out of the water is this normal for them ?? what do u do when u are running top less?

i hope that you cover up a little if you are running topless, cause it might get chilly and attract unwanted attention anyways, this is a natural habit for cerit snails, as they are an intertidal snail species, they can breath out of water for short periods, adn all will do this from tiem to time, its totally natural. good luck with your snails, soon theyll start to reproduce, and youll have baby snail all over the place its really cool!

Question how many snails does it take to start breeding or reproducing or doing the horizontal hookey pokeyor whatever you want to call it.

You just need two provided one is male and one is female. I would think if you had at least 4 you would get at leasts one of each.
