will chaeto grown under a standard fluorescent strip light(15w i think). I have a bunch in my DT right now and would like to take it out

Yes it will chaeto doesn't require much light but the more light available the faster it grows. I use a clip on shop light with the incandescent replacement 6500K PC fluorescent bulbs.
