chances that eel ate trigger

well i have another missing fish. a 4in. niger trigger. can't seem to find a body and have looked in all his hiding holes. do you think that my whitemouth may have ate a fish that big?????? If so i guess no more fish under six inches for this tank. all other fish are fine and trigger was happy looking yesterday.

Wow!! Do you have a picture of this beast? How long/big is he? I pulled up some pics on google, they do look rather "large mouthed".

That's my boy.

It's quite possible that he ate the Trigger.

yep AW sure is. yep i am pretty sure his is to blame. Man this eel eats like a pig. i can't remember the last time i did not feed him for two day's in a row and he is out swimming looking for food daily. he must be good and comfortable were his is i guess. my camera is brooke but i should be getting a nice new one by mid sept. i will post pics then. i swear andy he has grown. he is always sitting with his front section out. i never have to look for him. O well i guess i need to buy bigger fish. he has made a meal of my tank and i don't care down to one humu trigger, stars and stripe puff and a 8 in lion fish. and no the lion fish could not have ever got the 4 in triiger in his mouth.

Well..........I just bought a 6" wolf Eel and my live stock is slowly starting to fade!!!!!!!!! I trigger (3") gone!!!!! and he ate half of my Dams.....o well.....Do you have any inverts that have survived the eel??? I hate to think I cant work any inverts into my tank............Good luck

my yellowhead ate my coral beauty. i put two damsels in for her to eat. woke up the next morning, was minus one damsel and my ( large I would say ) coral beauty. eel is was prolly 12 inches at the time. that little meal put an inch or 2 on her overnight.

I have two huge turbo snails that have made it and I think there is a hermit crab stil alive in there somewhere.
