Change of Heart on T5's

Ok I have now seen 4 46.5" T5 bulbs hooked up to an icecap 660, and have a change of heart. That is what I am going to light my 90 with for sure, holy begeeses those things were bright, and only 54w a piece?

I knew you would add soething Tim. I guess I just did'nt see the difference above my 29g, but the longer they get good Lord. I also saw 2 6' bulbs and I could not even look at them. By the way Icecap does not recomend the 2 6' thing yet they are still doing tests.

I think magnatek( Universal Lighting Technologies )is the predominent name in T5 in EU. I could be wrong, but that was the brand I had.

First let me say they are not mine. It was at the LFS I was lucky enough to be there when A customer brought them in to show the owner. I don't think it is overclocking, and I'm pretty sure Icecap has given the OK on the 54watters. Just not the 6' ones because of length. Maybe Bangguy could chime in, I believe he is in with the Icecap crowd;) . I had them over my 29g about a year ago, and went back to VHO because the T5 were bright, I just was not convinved. But seeing the 4 T5 compared to the PC's in the store, forget about it the T5 blows them out of the water. Freaking bright. Better than the 48" Vho on my 90 thats for sure.

Hi Guys,
Mine are 4' and yes they seem all the brighter the bigger they get!
Im not sure what Icecap is....over here the main manufacturer is Arcadia lighting - http://www.arcadia-uk.com/ (MODS - manufacturers site and they dont sell anything).
