75g (non pre-drilled)Tank
Uptime: 9 days
70lbs of Fiji Totoka (cured) LR, 80lbs Carib-Sea LS, Current-USA 10,000K Outer Orbit MH (560-watts) Lamp. Cycle happened fairly quick and constant temp of 78 degrees.
Used to have...
-Eheim Pro II
-Ramora Skimmer
After selling back to LFS, now have...
Refugium with:
-CPR CS100 HOB Overflow
-40g Refugium Tank w/ Live Rock
-10lbs Miracle Mud
-Mini G Protein Skimmer
-Carbon Filters
I've added some of the cleanup crew, my tank levels are superb at this point. Increased water volume to 90g with the fuge. I have cloudy water, shortly after initial setup it cleared. 2 days into the fuge the water is cloudy again. Anyone know what this might be? The only thing changed was that I added some Chaeto Macro Algae to the fuge yesterday.
Also, do u think my changes were good. I feel the refugium is the way to go. For as much reading I did, it was a snap to build and I'm excited for my fish to have superior water quality.

Is your overflow kicking up sand? Even though your tank seems to have cycled fairly quickly, your sand is still going to probably need some time. As sand matures, it will become weighted with dissolved organics. This will help it to finally settle and clear up your tank.
I don't know what a mini g skimmer is. Is it big enough for the tank you have? Don't use any chemical water clearers. Give it some time and clean out any prefilters you may have. After it runs its course you may consider adding ozone. Ozone will clear up your water so much that it will get a bluish tint to it.
