Changing the carbon

I have a 15 gallon nano reef tank. I have had it going for almost three months and was wondering how long i should wait to change the carbon. It has a biofilter in the tank.

Hi Timothy,
Carbon is a questionable thing IMO. If you have it, change it out every week or so, but I'm not big fan of it, thus I don't run carbon at all. With your size tank though, it may be a good idea to run carbon. I'm sure other's will chime in here.

Depends on the size/amount that you are using then... Sound better Rotary?
The last time I was running it, and it's been awhile, I used the little mini-sock bags (about a 1/4 of what's in a normal bag) and I just ran it for about 1 -2 wks, then pulled it for a couple weeks. But never saw any benefits with my tank, and no, I don't have yellow water.
