changing time

I have to start getting up earlier in the morning, and this morn I went to turn on my light and I freaqued out my fish. They were pail looking and swimming franticly. I turned my light back off, and turned it back on a few hours later and they looked fine. How can I adjust them to my new time, without scaring them?

slowly add 30 minutes to your time if you know what i mean

I recommend you put your lights on timer. A consistant light schedule is better.
