Well i was planning on going to glass as a DIY project but at the last minute vered toward an acrylic dealer in my city that will sell me cut acrylic for cheap. i mean real cheap. I can get a 1/2'' X 24'' X 48'' for only 60 dollars. the only thing im worried about is if its that cheap should i worrie about them selling me below grade acrylic? Stuff that wont be supportive enough for a custom tank 48" X 24" X24"? Also ive never bonded acrylic but have been reading alot about it. You use #4 on the pieces ur joining and you use the pin method. But what about when your gluing ur second piece to the bottom? wont it also need to be bonded to the other side you have already done? and which bond do you do first the horizontal or vertical bond? Any help what so ever would be nice.
Little key note. I could build without eurobracing 110 gallon acrylic tank for only 180 dollars. :scared:
