Cheap Night Time Lights

I have found that moonlights can be a bit expensive but Dorm room blacklights are not. Will the fish and coral glow under a black light?

Heck, even cheaper then that is an LED clip on book light. Some of them can be plugged in, others operate for hundreds of hours off of one battery charge.

They won't do anything to grow your corals. And you won't get much fluorescence out of them. It's ugly lighting over an aquarium to be honest. Blue leds and leds in the actinic or u.v.- A range look pretty amazing at night though.

Okay, so i've decided to not go with a black light. Will grab a blue strip and a red strip. I dont care much for coral growth, as the light is mainly just for my viewing, and i wont be having coral for a few months. its just to see the lights pop. Red light, fish alledgedly cant see, so it makes for interesting lights out viewing when all the critters come out to play

Crap...so old the pics are gone.. Not sure how to fix it... anyway..I used and still use leds light designed to go behind your LED TV mounted on the wall..Very cool and not to expensive.

Update... These lights are still cool, but after 5 plus years...some of the LEDS have burned out...but not to bad for the initial investment,....will probably buy a new set and start all over.
