Here is my new what i believe to be a green Pagoda Cup coral, about 6 inches across, and about 2 to three inches deep. Also an updated pic of my derasa clam that has been in my tank about three weeks. Let me know what you think and if any thing to be carefull of with these corals, Thanks.

I have heard about people spot feeding cup's, is this required, or is phyto enough?

Ok back to the coral, is there anything that i should be weary about? and should i glue it to the rocks or just wedge it in place like i have done? Will it attatch on it's own?

i am 110% positive that is a derasa clam... Squamosa's and derasa's dont look much a like IMO... you just gotta look at the shell... the squamosa shell has very large flutes where as the derasa shell has non for the most part but an occasional one pops up sometimes but they are very small

Pagoda cups are relatively easy. They need moderate lighting, moderate flow. I had mine in a 19gallon tank on the sand bed under 175w MH. It did great. Unfortnualy, I had problems with my lights and lost half of my coral in that tank. So lighting is important. What do you have for lights? You can do some phyto supplementing. I thinks most coral in the tanks benefits from this.

Lights are 10k xm 400 watt halide and 95 watt vho, also live phyto once a week. Are there going to be visible polyps on it?
