MorayM #1 I believe is fake but #2 cant be because dolfin tail fins are horizontal rather than vertical like the one in the pic!

You're looking at a picture, of a creature underwater, through complex lighting, and telling me definitively that the shadow has a vertical tail fin. Look at the lighting of the picture, and then look at the fact that the vertical sections of the fin are not opaque, as a tail would be.
Could it be the fact that the light filtering through is making a shadowed reflection to look like a vertical tail? Yup. That's my call.

Yeah, but what do ya think about the fat shark?!?
I think I could keep him in a 50g or so. With a big skimmer and wet-dry of course.:D

Most sharks, when not moving cannot breath, because no water is passing over their gills, thus they effectively drown.

It is normal for dolphins to go surfing, serious:)
I wonder if a shark can drown because the way their blood system, urine secretion, works. If, for example, they are under unusual strain, such as towing a boat, andthe levels of uric acid in their blood goes way up, maybe their water balance changes?
From what I understand, sharks dont have bladders, they keep urine in their blood. Thats why you have to bleed a shark off when you catch them. Thats what also allows them to go into brackish/fresh water as well. This is all in short of course and Know I am not even close to being complete.

also when sharks are under a lot of pressure for long periods of time (towing a bout for an hour) the gill muscles tend to contract not letting water pass through which would cause the shark to drown

Yeah, but if you die because you cant breathe, you are not necassarily drowning, you are suffacating, if I get a chicken bone stuck in my throat, and I cant breathe, I am not drowning

Point taken. I am just referring to the article, and making a speculation.
