Did you give it a little light rinse before you put it in?
I use the stuff all the time and have never experienced that. Is that a common occurrence experienced buy those of you that use it?

Mine get a lil cloudy when i put it in after a rinse, but i think its mostly from stirrin up the back chambers of the tank

Ahhhhhh!! Do you think that's what's going on Troy? I use this on about 9-10 of my tanks and we bought a couple of boxes at a trade show. Never saw that before.
Anyone else experience it?

Nah...it's the carbon but it is fine, it clears up quickly. My tank turned foggy gray after putting it for about 10 or so minutes but everything was fine.

I have an inline reactor in the same sump chamber as my skimmer and it has chemi-pure elite in it. The main body of my skimmer is kinda getting a tint to it from it (light brown). Anyone have this happen before? I know the elite has some iron oxide in there and im guessing thats whats causing the discoloration.

Hint: If you have a nano, when you do that also do a water change and connect plastic tubing to the outflow valve that goes into your tank and put it in your waste water bucket and the disturbed particulate will then go in there for disposal and not back into your tank!
