Chevron fish

I have just recently purchased a chevron fish from here actually and it is just pecking at the glass and my fake rock that is in the aquarium and not the live rock. If anyone knows what it was fed before I bought it, it would be appreciated and if anyone knows what it may start to eat let me have your suggestions. The fish is becoming very comfortable in the tank but I would like to get him eating as soon as possible.

Wow I love that fish, too bad it grows up to 11in.
Heres a quick stat.
Although Tangs will eat meaty foods along with the other fish in the aquarium, it is important that they are offered plenty of marine based seaweed and algae. This will strengthen their immune system, reduce aggression and improve their overall health. Offer dried seaweed tied to a rock or use a lettuce clip, and feed at least 3 times per week. Sea Veggies, Seaweed Salad and Ocean Nutrition are all ideal products and are very easy to use.
