I have a RSM250 I just set up and the temp during the day gets to 81 and down to 78 at night. Can anybody recommend a quiet inexpensive chiller that will fit in the cabinet? Should'nt need too many BTU's
thanks

Inexpensive and chiller don't really go together.
The JBJ Artica Nano and Mini would both be good choices.

most shouldnt be put in cabinets and i wouldnt worry about 81. you would be fine getting to 84-85 you just dont want it falling to 78 from there. 84 during the day and 80-81 at night would be fine any lower you would want to monitor coral for reactions to the drop and maybe up the heater to control the low point.
and as scsi said chiller and inexpensive dont appear together

It's fine to put a chiller in the cabinet, which has been designed specifically to allow air flow through it- hence the gap underneath the door. However to increase the efficiency and reduce wear on the chiller we do recommend instaling the cabinet ventilation kit (check out www.redseamax.com). Personally I would try to keep the temperature around 26-28C and not worry about anything less than this. I suggest you keep the heater set to 24-26C to ensure a stable temperature.

most brands say nothing should be within one foot some more (of the intake and exhaust)along with being in a well ventilated area
you have the right idea to up your heater. a good thing to have when relying on a heater is a controler. ranco controlers are a proven brand.
