what hp chiller do i need for a 70gal? any suggestions on brands? my temp on my new tank is at a steady 81.8 so i only need a few deg drop. thx.

You don't need a chiller, your temp is fine.

A 1/5HP should do you fine.

Do you have a heater and what is it set for? If you don't have MH lights, what is making your tank run at that temperature?
Can you give more info on your setup?

it is in the living room but not getting any direct air from vents. i'm sure its from my return pump mag 9. like i said at almost 82 w/o my mh's on.

Have you tried fans blowing across the water surface?
