Chiller?

So I live in Hawaii and the temperature is on average 80 degrees all year round. Not bad for the body but hard on the tank. :( My tank gets up to 87-88 degrees around noon and stays there till almost 6pm everyday. I have two fans blowing on the tank and opened the back of the stand to allow more airflow but it hasn't helped that much. So I've decided to bite the bullet and buy a chiller and am between two brands but have never had any experience with chillers so not sure what makes a good one. I'm between

JBJ ARCTICA 1/5 HP TITANIUM AQUARIUM CHILLER
Or the
ECOPLUS 1/4 HP WATER CHILLER

The price difference is almost double for the JBJ but I don't see what makes it a better product. And theres other brands like the AquaEuro 1/4hp chiller that is priced in the middle of these two.

Anyone have any opinions on any of these products?

Wow this message board has gone down hill since I first joined. There is hardly anyone ever on anymore. It's a shame there was always a wealth of knowledge floating around on here.

There is still a wealth of knowledge, Bang Guy is still around and Snakeblitz is writing a book...
I have an Artctica, and the AquaEuro both are the 1/10hp they work great...they do need to be back-flushed every 6 months. I also use a filter that I just put in front of the pump, the suction holds it in place. That keeps stuff from being sucked up and pushed through the chiller. I have had the Artctica chiller on my 90g for the potbelly seahorses, and keeps the tank at a cool 65 degrees...it will allow the temp to go up one point, then the compressor kicks on.

The only trouble I ever had with it, was when it needed to be back-flushed...The compressor stayed on too much, and wasn't keeping the tank cold enough, but as soon as I did what I was supposed to, it hasn't had a hic-cup. It's been up and running about 4 years (I think, memory is bad with dates) anyway the Euro was on a 56g, to keep the seahorses cool at 74 degrees, never had any problems with that one at all. I did back-flush it, then ran it with vinegar for a few days, then rinsed it with RO water, and drained it, to make it squeaky clean before I stored it.

Anyway both of those brands are pretty good, I never had nor heard of the Ecoplus. What size tank do you have? I have the Euro 1/10hp chiller sitting in my closet, but it sounds like you want/need something larger if your looking into a 1/4
