Had to get one. Take care of Mom and she has circulation problems, so the thermostat is set on 78 (frying us too!). It was either Mom or the fish, and she's a better cook :D
Also have a 10 gallon with one of the Iceprobes and their proportional temperature controller. It works great on that little tank.

Don't currently use on, but have used ice packs in my sump to lower the temp on really hot days. I probably will be investingin one in the future when I get more corals. HTH

Have an Aqualogic 1/3 hp drop-in on my 210. Works reat, fairly quiet, and pops on a few times a day when the halides are on. Tank would cook without it.

:) i do on a 125 reef. temp stays between 79-83.1 during the daytime. it's about 10-13 yo. i bought it used about 10-12 years ago. no problems yet.
