my starfish got one of his legs caught in the powerhead so i turned it off and he fell down and was missing a leg so i put him in the QT tank an now his legs decinegrating with like white stringy stuff on it...i thought maybe he was dead so i scooped him out an he curled up so i put him back in...Now if i have the light on his legs stay out but if i turn it off he shrivels...He's not moving at all should i do away with him or is there a chance he will make it... an will this mess my pH and everything up????
