Just curious, I heard that they can be harmful to some corals. I have a mushroom coral, some polyps, 2 BTA's and one LTA. Will it harm those?

it's quite possible.
"Chocolate Chip Sea Stars are quite hardy. However, they are not considered to be reef safe since they tend to eat corals, clams, and oysters."
"Chocolate Chip Stars may eat other invertebrates, including soft corals, clams, and snails kept in the aquarium with them. "
"Reef Tank Compatible? : Nope. They will eat any stationary and slow moving animals in your reef tank setup"
