Chocolate chip starfish

Are Chocolate chip stars a good star for a FOWLR? I am wanting to add some inverts to my tank and wanted a star and an urchin. Any comments on these or other inverts that would be nice. I have a 90 gallon, with a bangaii, a regal tang, a singapore angel, an engineer goby, 2 o. clowns, and a long nose hawkfish. With the hawk, I don't think I can get any shrimp, but any other suggestions would be great.

I'm just starting my FOWLR 55gal I just purchased a chocolate chip star. My LFS said it was the safest bet with other fish. Apparently fish will pick at some stars. I don't know if your tang would mess with the star or not. I don't plan on having any thing as big as tangs. I hope I helped a little bit.

I think chocolate chip star is an excellent choice for FOWLR tank. They act like scavengers. Mine even feeds on hair & film algae. No fish in your tank will mess with chocolate chip. All of them are echinoderm-safe fishes.

Like Pufferman said, they are awesome for FOWLR tanks. I have 3 CC and one larger cranberry starfish and they are great at scavenging all leftover food, even the nori that my tang doesnt finish. I had the misfortune last week of a newly introduced fish die off and before I had even seen it my CC stars were on the case. They move surprisingly fast and my humu trigger doesnt bother with them. Great addition for your tank. Get a few of them . Good Luck . Peter
