Chocolate Chip StarFish

I have had this Chocolate Chip Starfish for about 4 months, today I noticed that he has a small white area on the end of his one arm. Can they get diseases, like fungas infections? or couuld it just be an injury that I should not worry about? <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

its hit insides someone wsa probably picking at him....u got any aggressive small fish or hermits they picked at mine..

Hi:
right on.
Its usually a sign someone in your tank is potshotting this starfish. These stars are pretty tough, Just make sure it get plenty of food (I actually feed him chunks of meaty food, pushed under its mouth), and it should heal up and drive on. I hope you don't have this star in a reeftank, they can be soft coral eaters
