Chrome fish?

Today at my lfs I saw a pair of almost chrome looking fish. They were not labeled and the only employee there had no clue what they were. These large (7") fish were almost disc shaped and had large foreheads. I think I have seen these at Shedd Aquarium, but can't remember a thing about them. Any thoughts about these?

They might be "lookdowns", But I dunno!

did they have very elongated fins?

If the fish you saw was very very thin looking with a flat forehead and long fins then it is more than likely a lookdown. I catch these guys while fishing all the time and they are my favorite fish after sharks.
