Chromis qestion

I know these like to school so my question is this....
I have 1 green chromis and would like to add 2 more, but could I mix the colors and they be happy? So I would have this green one, a blue one and a purple one? Silly question maybe, but I want them to be happy and still have a variety for me.

You are probably talking about damsels, of purple and blue, this is not recommended as for damsels are very territorial and will fight to the death.. a school of an uneven amount of green chromies in a large tank will work though.

Actually...SW.com lists a purple chromis and a blue reef one - all chromis are listed under the damsel section. That's where I got that from.

No he is talking about chromis.They do better in schools.I was told they should be put in at the same time.I have 5 blue ones that stay together.Not sure that they will school together being different colors

I have seen people mix the blue and green together with success, but I believe the purple chromis is a slightly different shape and might get picked on or left out. I would go with all blue and greens, but usually to school you need more like 5-8 of them.
