I'm tired of buying distilled water for my humidor.....Since I run a reef tank can I use my RO/DI water in my humidor instead of buying distilled water??

I was reading something online saying that the water must be UV sterilized and thats what store bought distilled is.

All you are really doing is trying to eliminate the mineral deposits that build up when the water evaporates so the RO water will be fine.

Why a humidor, the Giants aren't going to be winning anything significant anytime soon. (lol Ok trash talking aside)
If you're really worried about the UV thing. And I don't think it is a bad idea. (although depending on how much water it uses I have no idea) Because once it is exposed to air you're going to have contamination. However, if you're really worried about it. Just boil the RO/DI water. Nothing can live 8 minutes in a boiling pot.

HA!! They are going to turn their season around!! They have to!! And the talent is there, except in the secondary. And the NFC East is still a VERY close division!!
That's not a bad idea. I read something that says the reason to use distilled is to avoid mold growing inside the humidor and on the cigars themselves so i'm just not sure if RO/DI water alone would avoid that mold.

That would be the only thing I'd be worried about. Mold and Mildew.
But seriously I don't know how much I would worry about it, because once the water is exposed to air, then stuff starts growing...
