I bought a cleanup crew from this site about 8 months ago that included 2 or 3 'cleaner' clams. They disappeared into the sandbed as soon as I put them in and I had not seen them until a few days ago when one just showed a peak at the surface. This morning he is fully out of the sand and looks tightly closed. A couple of my cleaner shrimp and one hermit are all over him and seem to be trying to get him to open up. Is the clam dead or dieing and should I remove it now or wait to see if he moves? I want to wait, but I also don't want something dead fouling my water. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
