Clam Is Brown

My clam didn't have great color when I bought it.... I bought it for a good price with the hopes it color would enhance if I took good care of it -it is still brown. We have GREAT lighting.... The edges are turning a bit purple, but I am not sure what else to do to enhance it's color.... Any ideas?

What kind of clam is it and what kind of lighting do u have. A clam can recover from being brown or bleaching if u keep it in the right conditions. Make sure u have the right calcium and po4 and no3 are down also. Keep ur alk in the 8-10dkh range also.
