Clam/MH question

OK as some of u know iam having heat problems. If i have to get rid of my 400w MH could i get 175w, still support clams, and keep my temp down?

how high are your temps getting? i have a crocea in a 180gal under 250w mh and its doing fine so i think you would be okay.

its gottne to 87 but iam now turning the lights off when it gets to 84. Where do u live and what is ur temp at? PLus u haev more water then me so....

They make a 150w HQI which would be about equal to a 250w standard MH.

that is y i say the most ideal place to live it alska, u dont have to worry about the tank overheating

i live in michigan and my tank can get up to 84 but i also have an open top with 1 fan blowing in and 1 pulling out, it is also in my basement which doesnt get as warm. do you have fans blowing across the top of you tank?

i haev 4.5" fans on each side sucking out. iam in FL with a canopy
