I have a 50 gallon tank with 285 watts of VHO lighting over it, my LFS just got a bunch of clams and I was wondering if i could get one with my setup. They are getting in squamosa clams.. any advice?

With that lighting you could do a Derasa safely
. You might even be able to get a Crocea if you keep it up high in the tank.

As long as you get a Derasa Clam, you will be fine. Anything else and you are taking a chance.

I have a crocea clam in my 55gal with 216watts T-5 lighting, He's up towards the top of the tank and doing real good. I've had him in there for months

I ended up getting a nice deresa clam right now. Luckily my lfs got them in. I am wondering about acclimation. It is floating right now. How long should i drip it?
