clams and lighting help....

I have a 8 gal. Biocube. I was wondering if the the lighting is strong enough for a clam.

8 gallon is a real small tank. even with a 70w metal halide, its going to be hard to keep water parameters stable.

So small salt water tanks r kinda pointless?

not really. nano tank is intended for those that dont want a big tank, yet want to hv part of the reef with them. they r for small fish. u can hv a clam, but u hv to be very diligent when it comes to water quality.
