What if any clams could I keep in my tank. The spec are listed below. Thank You!

You could probably keep a Dresa near the very top center. No other clam would do well under that light, your tank must be atleast 6months old. You must always keep the calcium at 450. Always get a clam with a disc on the bottom, when they are pulled from the reef, sometimes they lose there disc and slowly die. Always make sure the clam you buy is active, it should respond to movement and sounds. Get a 3-4in Dresa if possible.

buy a aqacultured. They do better then wild. Check around you can find them. I got mine today for 35.99 at lfs.

I have 3 clams in each of my 3 tanks. I have 6 110w VHO in my 120 and 90gal and 4 110w VHO in my 75gal. They are on the very bottom of the tank. I think that people get a little too freaked out about the lighting with clams. A few of mine are over 5 years old. I have never had one die and they have all grown to obnoxious sizes. Feed them with DT's phytoplankton and they will survive. That's my opinion anyway. Like I said, in 6 years, none of my nine have died.

Interesting. I put my derassa about 15" from the lights (4 55w pc - when they are working), and it hjopped to the bottom.
Remember they like water flow too since they fiklter feed, and need to excrete, et cetera.

Also a rep. at ONE of my lfs told me yonight derassa among the easiest to keep, crocea hardet. Maxima in between. I imagine this is due to lighting mo0stly. Dewrrassa is quite beautifulo. Minbe is golden when viewed from above with PC, blue from horizontal position. I also respect most of my lfs, FWIW.

I'd think you could keep some c,lammers. Th only sure way to know would be to have a bio fieldguide, and stick lightmetetr where you want to put your clam.

I do know I want my animals to survive. Derassa supposed to be the easiest clam, as, I re-iterated above.
