Hey, Ive got a 5 gallon nano that I have just set up. I was wondering what I should include in my cleaning crew. Im thinkin about. . . .
-1 cleaner shrimp
-1 coral banded shrimp
-x amount of hermits
-x amount of snails
-some kind of a goby
-maybe a brittle star?
Tell me what you think. Im open to suggestions . . . .
Thanks.

IMO a coral banded isn't a good idea for a 5 gal. Too aggressive and will get too big. A peppermint or two would be better. How about a firefish goby those are pretty cool.
5 Astrea snail
5 nassarius snails
5 to 10 small blue legged hermits
I think would work fine. Hope this helps.

Ok, thanks. I was thinking of putting some peppermints in there too. I think that I an however going to put a cleaner shrimp in :) The list you gave me sounds like it would work good.
Thanks!

I just started setting up my 5g and I am making it an all-invert tank.
My potential stock list includes:
2 harlequin shrimps
5 sexy shrimps
3 red scarlet hermits
5 blue legged hermits
5 margarita snails
5 cerith snails
Hope this will give you some more ideas.

i remember when i thought that brittle stars were the coolest things, when they are small they are cool, but when they get larger the seen to appose a slight threat, i ended up long 2 percs due to my large brittle star and a couple shrimp. just a warning.

Thanks Herp_House but I have already prepared for that situation! My plan is that when that thing gets too big I will just end up putting him in my 30 gallon reef . . . But if he would come to out grow my 30 then he would be transfered to a larger tank again!:D Im startin to confuse my self here! lol
