New to the post, so apologize if I missed this question previously, but is there any kind of clean-up crew that has worked successfully in a tank with triggers?

if you can find a few silver scats and acclimate them to sw those are great clean as up crews these are venomous fish so other aggressive fish tend not to bother them.they are concidered herbivores so they do control algae ,they also eat aiptasia, and other foods and waste.i had one in my aggressive tank for 5 yrs he was my clean up crew

Sometimes you can get large hermit crabs 4-6" across and these work well for eating leftover food and arnt really bothered by all by the largest of triggers. Brittle and serpent stars also work well as they stay hidden in the day and only come out at night to scavenge.

We have 3 large hermits in our tank. It has the following,
Niger Trigger
Dogface Puffer
Sailfin Tang
Indigo Blue Hamlet
Goldentail eel
Have had no problems.

What do you do for bigger shells for those large hermit's?
i was thinking about getting those large hermits too, but then i didn't know what to do about getting larger shells for them. i haven't seen any big enough for them at any stores. so i just keep getting little crabs.

Once they are that big they dont seem to change shells anyways. Mine never did in years and never killed eachother for shells.
