Cleaner Clam shipping?

Hi all,
I received 2 cleaner clams from SWF today, and the bag had NO water in it. It was sealed and did not have any air leaks. Is that how they normally ship?

No idea... can you open the clams? If not, drop them in.. Overnight they should burrow into the sand.

they should be fine. i usually buy them on ice at my local grocery store. for $0.48 each.

little neck clams.. just make sure you get the closed ones. store (publix) i've gotten about 10 in the last few months i just drop them right in.

I ordered a cleaner clam from SWF.com as well and it arrived exactly as you described it. I put it in my tank and it was fine. I think that this is the way they ship clams and they tolerate the lack of water just fine.
