So from what I'm reading, the hermits and normal cleaner crew are probably out for an aggressive setup with Triggers. How does anyone keep their tank clean then?
i put 20 blue legged hermits every other month when the lights are out. most get eaten and get picked when the lights come on. but some survive and learn to scavenge in the dark..i read that a queen or a fighting conch can be used for aggressive tanks..
The old fashioned way, I scrub my tank, and wash the corals. Yes, I have been bitten, by my clown trigger. <img src="graemlins//yell.gif" border="0" alt="[yell]" /> Still wouldn't trade it for the world!
You will never get snails to last but I have found that you can get large carbs to live, I have 4 in my large tank with a trigger and they have been there for about 5 months, they get flipped over everynow and then but they are still alive, you will still have to clean you tank your self but they clean up the sand for you. Good Luck
I pretty much do the same as triggahappy up there, Being my clowntrigger is still small, I usually do about 10 snalis and 10 crabs every month or two depending on how many he has gotten.
The only different thing I do though is I bought 30 of each in a 1 time shot and split them between my 2 tanks (20/10) next i will just split the 20 i have left in the other tank (10/10)
