I have a 30g cube just getting done with its cycle and now i'm wondering what all of you suggest for a cleaner crew? My plan with this tank is to make it a reef tank, so reef friendly cleaners are preferred. I want to get a peppermint shrimp to help clean up the aiptasia that I already have in there, but what are some other suggestions?

Hello i would get about 7 hermits and 10 snails and pepermints are not reef safe ive read on here many times that they eat corals but you are supposed to wait awhile before getting coral so if you want to get the peppermint shirmp to clean up the aiptasia and then bring it back to the lfs when you get coral just my 2 cents.

Hope this helps,
Austin

Peppermint shrimp can indeed pick on coral. I had one......brought him back. He harrassed my anemone's to death.(LTA and condi) Litterally. Since he is gone a new LTA and condi are doing quite well. He also picked at the zoo's to where they would not open. Let him do his job, with the aptasia, then get rid of it. I am not a fan of the peppermint shrimp....but, maybe I got a really bad one.
