cleaner crew

Hi, I just recieved a new clean up crew for my tank,
Can someone advise me where to put cleaner clams
in fuge, or tank?
Do you put any cleanup crew in the refugium? My fuge has only been set up for 3 weeks.

Clams will be better in the fuge, nass snails for sand in DT.

cleaner clams are harmless filter feeders. They aren't going to eat your macroalgae. The whole purpose of a fuge is to grow macroalgae. I you want to put them in the fuge, go for it. If you want to put them in the DT, go for it. Doesn't matter either way.

I agree that putting the clam in the fuge is as good as in the tank, whichever your preference is. People often put cleanup crew members in the fuge if they're bad.
